(01)Introduction

Who am I?

Nicholaus Nungu Warobi
Also known as Bro. Nungu

I am a Data Science Engineer and full-stack developer focused on building practical digital solutions for real-world problems.

I don't just write code. I understand problems, analyze data, design systems, architect solutions, build software, integrate AI, test, deploy, and keep improving what I ship.

  1. 01

    Engineer by training

An engineering foundation: structured thinking, systems, and solutions that have to work in the real world.

  2. 02

    Data Science by degree

Bachelor of Engineering in Data Science, Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST).

  3. 03

    Developer by practice

Full-stack software: interfaces, APIs, databases and the infrastructure that runs them.

  4. 04

    Product builder by focus

AI-powered features and complete digital products, taken from idea to deployment.

(02)What I build

From raw data to deployed products.

Ten disciplines, one practice: understanding a problem well enough to build the system that solves it.

  1. 01

    Software Engineering

Structured, maintainable software designed around real requirements rather than features for their own sake.

  2. 02

    Data Analysis

Cleaning, exploring and interpreting data so that decisions are grounded in evidence.

  3. 03

    Data Science

Statistical and analytical thinking from an engineering degree in Data Science, applied to products.

  4. 04

    AI & Intelligent Systems

Integrating AI capabilities into products where they genuinely help the people using them.

  5. 05

    Full-Stack Web Applications

End-to-end ownership, from the database schema and APIs to the interface people touch.

  6. 06

    Mobile Applications

Android and iOS apps built from a single codebase, so both platforms carry the same features and behaviour.

  7. 07

    SaaS

Multi-user products designed around accounts, roles, and room to grow.

  8. 08

    Marketplaces

Buyer, seller and administrator workflows connected in one ecosystem.

  9. 09

    Education Technology

Learning, assessment, school and analytics platforms for students and teachers.

  10. 10

    Business Systems

Sales, inventory, point of sale, staff and reporting tools for daily operations.

  11. 11

    Digital Products

Turning a real-world problem into a product people can actually use.

(04)How I build

Engineering as a complete process.

Eight stages, from understanding the problem to improving the product long after launch.

  1. 01

    Understand

Start with the problem, not the code. Who is affected, what is broken, and what would success look like?

    • Problem statement
    • Users & constraints
  2. 02

    Analyze

Study the data, the workflows and the existing tools. Separate assumptions from evidence.

    • Data audit
    • Requirements
  3. 03

    Design

Shape the experience: the flows, interfaces and interactions that make the solution feel obvious.

    • User flows
    • Interface design
  4. 04

    Architect

Model the domain, the data and the services so the system can grow without being rebuilt.

    • Data model
    • System architecture
  5. 05

    Build

Implement in small, reviewable increments with typed, maintainable code across the stack.

    • Working software
    • APIs & interfaces
  6. 06

    Test

Verify behaviour, edge cases, accessibility and performance before anyone depends on it.

    • Automated checks
    • Quality review
  7. 07

    Deploy

Ship to reliable infrastructure with a repeatable release path and visibility into production.

    • Release
    • Monitoring
  8. 08

    Iterate

Measure how the product is used, learn from it, and improve it continuously.

    • Insights
    • Next iteration
(05)Data science

Data behind the product.

My degree is in Data Science. I treat data as part of the product: what to capture, how to structure it, and what it can reveal.

Data analysis
Exploring and interpreting data to answer real questions.
Data visualization
Charts and dashboards that make patterns obvious.
Databases
Relational models that keep data consistent and queryable.
Analytics
Instrumenting products so usage becomes insight.
Data-driven decisions
Letting evidence, not assumptions, guide what gets built.
AI & ML concepts
Applying models where learning from data adds value.
Business intelligence
Reporting that shows how an operation is performing.
System analytics
Understanding how systems behave in production.

(06)Engineering mindset

I don't just build features.I build systems.

  • 01

    Scalability

Data models and services that grow with usage instead of against it.

  • 02

    Performance

Fast on the devices and networks people really have, not just on a developer laptop.

  • 03

    Maintainability

Clear boundaries, typed code and simple structures the next engineer can understand.

  • 04

    Security

Authentication, authorisation and data protection designed in, not patched on.

  • 05

    Responsive design

Interfaces composed for every screen, from small phones to ultrawide monitors.

  • 06

    Accessibility

Semantic, keyboard-friendly and readable for everyone who uses the product.

  • 07

    Testing

Confidence through verification. Behaviour is checked, not assumed.

  • 08

    Observability

Systems that explain themselves in production through logs, metrics and analytics.

  • 09

    Architecture

Deliberate structure: the right responsibilities in the right places.

  • 10

    User experience

Every technical decision ultimately serves the person using the product.

(07)Technology

Technology I work with.

A deliberate, modern stack. Everything listed reflects the work I actually do.

(08)Availability

Open to opportunities.

I'm interested in roles, collaborations and projects where software, data and AI come together to solve meaningful problems.
